Some wiley coworkers turned me on to w00t.com, where they sell some overstocked bargain product until its gone every day. Sometimes this stuff is crap, other times its awesome.

Yesterday (Wednesday), they had a Gyration keyboard and mouse suite for $50. These things work great with Fedora Core, or so the forums say, and that price is a little over half off. So I bought one.

This invalidates the need for an overly complicated solution revolving around a WebPal IR keyboard, but I think I may slap that thing back on Ebay and see if I can recover some of the $35 I spent on it.

Sometimes the path of least resistance is worth it. Especially when the toll is half off. This will make a nice addition to the new improved MythTV system.
