Tasha and I were both a little late getting home tonight, however I was somewhat pleased to see that woot.com had delivered my cousin’s 250GB hard drive. That meant that he could finally stop asking, however I would have to spend a night installing yet another upgrade to his system.
Luckily, it went well. His motherboard was so old that it could only handle seeing 137GB of the drive. I could’ve flashed the BIOS, but I wasn’t feeling that brave. Either way, $55 for 137GB of space isn’t that bad. Plus, if he ever upgrades that system we can reformat and go again to get him use of the other 113GB.
I think it sped up his system somewhat, and he was happy to be able to get all of his stuff under one drive again. He inadvertantly left some files on the old drive despite my request that he make sure he got everything off of there, so I will have to go and see if I can’t retrieve them for the common good.
That pretty much rounded out my night tonight. I got to see my lovely wife for only a few hours, as she gets to wake up early to go to Monmouth to teach and was in bed when I arrived home. I must be in the karate mood, I had to seriously fight the urge to do some 1:00 am Sochin in the front yard when I walked my other cousin out (he stopped by briefly after driving his girlfriend home).
