After only two hours of sleep and a boatload of frustrating work tasks, Matt and I embarked on a wondeful journey…
We went to two Pekin Parks and performed 101 Sochin kata in just over six hours (that’s 4,040 techniques!) It was extremely difficult. Extremely. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, but we did it. We kept it secret due to concerns of our ability to actually complete a task this crazy.
The first 25 kata we did by Lake Butterfield in McNaughtin Park. The second 25 we did under the shade of a lone tree that was still providing shade at 1 pm. We had a quick McDonalds, and then found an extremely favorable spot in Pekin Park by the lagoon to blast through the last 51. As we crossed the 100 kata mark, the nearby churchbells played ‘Amazing Grace’ for the 5 o’clock hour… it was really cool.
There is almost 700MB of pictures and video to show, we will be posting select images and video after we pour through it sufficiently.
Kudos to my good buddy
