Tonight’s workout was quite interesting… when Dad and I arrived early, Valle Vista was completely blocked off because some jackasses had decided to cut down two of the giant trees that line that street. Giant, majestic trees that have probably been here longer that the people that settled this state cut down for no apparent reason, from all visible indications they were in pretty good shape too.

After the first class was done, we collectively decided to work on some kata since it was just brown and black belts left. It was agreed that we needed a bit more Sochin and Unsu, so I walked the class through ten Sochin in 20 minutes. Mike-san then picked up for the rest of the class to lead them through Unsu, and
I often wonder why I do things like this to myself knowing full well that I have committed to playing paintball with my coworkers tomorrow and doing 100 Sochin on Saturday. Its like I enjoy a constant state of physical turmoil. 🙂
