Tonight’s workout was a very good basic class, dealing with simple, strong stances and good old fashioned repetition. Sensei Brewer had the first class go through some timing drills, preparing them for five time attack.
The second class we did some warming up with basics and then did one time attack. I found that our recent work out gyaku kihon was useful during one time attack, by using the twisting action to generate some body vibration right after the block I was able to get an incredible amount of torque that helped me to rotate to the side and almost behind my partner. It also helped me to really drive my body into attacks, so much so that
I forgot to mention that Dad and I arrived early to get 10 Tekki Nidans done, and
