Today I ventured into the basement to configure my sprinkler system. After reading the manual, I set the thing up to run and ran outside to watch the sprinklers pop up. I waited, and waited. No dice. I went back downstairs and checked the controller, it indicated that the program was running. I checked the website, which said that the most common cause for this is either the computer having a blown fuse (which it didn’t, since I could set the program and run it) or the valve controllers had bad wiring out to them. I found the valve control box outside, opened it up, and found it full of leaves, weeds, and clutter. I cleared most of that out but could identify nothing particularly wrong.
Since I tend to draw the line at rewiring things by myself, I suppose that I’ll have to get someone in here to look at it. Our HOA president lives down the block from me and mentioned that he knows the guy that put in 90% of the sprinkler systems around here so I might have to give that guy a call and get him to take a look.
Now I’m going to pack my guitar up so we can go to dinner with a coworker of mine and rock out. Should be a good time!
