Tasha was kind enough to take my car in to get the window repaired today. Turns out there was something wrong with the entire window track assembly, so they had to replace it to the tune of $384 cold hard cash. Most everybody around my office has told me to get a better car, however I quickly point out that it runs just fine (still gets 30 mpg on the highway) and is paid off.
I’ve had one repair this year at $384. My old car payments were $231. Let’s do some math: $231 x 12 months of no car payments == $2,772. That puts me around $2,400 ahead by keeping my car, which is just fine by me.
Dave Ramsey would be proud.
