Well, today has been one for the books.
Work today vacillated between frustrating and insanely boring. Our new programmer
A friend of mine called me to join him for dinner tonight, we went to Rocky’s, a small bar here in Macomb. He had a migrane, and proceeded to be his antagonistic little halfling self throughout the meal. Fun times.
I came back to the dorm and had the good fortune to get sidelined to troubleshoot someones network connection, something that has happened roughly seventy thousand times to me in the first two weeks of every semester for the last four years. Luckily, the girl that was asking is really nice, and a friend of Tashas, so I helped her out.
I’ve been insanely bored since I’m the only person in my residence hall aside from the RA’s right now. Speaking of RA’s, I think it’s taken my RA a record breaking three days to bag his first chick of the new semester. Technically, this is -12 days into the semester, but since we’re here at school I’m counting it in the semester tally. For some reason he felt it necessary to trot her by my room before he disappeared with her, semi-cute blonde girl… too tanned though. She has burned herself to a shade of brown somewhat like a leather bag’s ass.
Aside from that, I’ve continued working on my happy Java Chat Server for my independent study, but I’m having some path issues in setting up my Client Applet. I’m going to have to enlist the help of someone that has done this before, something I really hate doing. So I didn’t get so much done on my chat server tonight.
I’ve decided to give this Semagic LiveJournal software a shot to see how it works. I’ll probably be grabbing something to let me update this on my Linux machine too. So far I’m pretty happy with this Semagic program, it’s a pretty nice interface.
