Tonight through the assistance of an anonymous Giga-byte Inc. representative I was able to squeeze 2000 mhz out of my Athlon 2400. There should still be a bit more room to go, because the Athlon 2400 should be able to get to roughly 2200 mhz.
I responded to the technician because there was one step that he wasn’t very descriptive on, so hopefully that setting change will boost my Linux machine to the actual suggested running speed of the chip that’s in it.
It’s very interesting the amount of difference 600 mhz makes. More updates as they develop.
