The Dirty Squirrel Review…

Allow me to explain… tonight while watching Hellboy with , , , and , we were treated to some wonderful movie previews. Well, not wonderful, but we’ll get to that in a bit. Hellboy was pretty good, as per my previous post, but the conversation after the film revolved around the previews that we got to see. What will follow is my account of these previews, which hopefully will be a continuing theme after I see films.

White Chicks
The Wayans Brothers must be either stopped, or killed. This is yet another one of those “black folk are different from white folk” films, but this time the Wayans get dressed up as white socialite females in order to infiltrate some sort of stupid white collar crime ring. The entire film is actually based around this ridiculous concept, so I will not be seeing this one. Hollywood needs to understand that this kind of RETARDED humor will not be allowed. The twelve people that will see this film probably worked on the film, and I hope they realize what they’ve done.

King Arthur
This one looks quite interesting… it appears to take the “legend” of King Arthur and explains that there were once real people behind this legend, and the film appears to present things in a very LOTR or Braveheart kind of way. The thought of this intrigues me, so I really want to see this one. The title of these reviews has come from vanirtjones’s observation that Merlin looked like he was about to “throw up his arms and give the bad guys the dirty squirrel and that would be the end of that.” This caused me to laugh uncontrollably in the parking lot, on the way home, and even now as I recount this in my mind.

The rest of the reviews were relatively inert or boring. I hope to get out to more movies with my friends in the near future, because it was a great time. This will hopefully lead to more Dirty Squirrel Reviews.
